San Diego Comic-Con: SAMCRO!

I had a chance to talk with some of the folks from one of my favorite shows, "Sons of Anarchy," at San Diego Comic-Con. We spoke about how Charlie Hunnam (Jackson "Jax" Teller) almost played "Thor," about surly television critics, surlier Harley dealers, and of course, a whole bunch about Season 4 of the FX drama. Show creator Kurt Sutter (who also plays Otto, an imprisoned SAMCRO member) is one of my favorite people to follow on Twitter (@sutterink). Watch those interviews HERE.

MTV: Captain America Cheat Sheet

Captain America will finally throw his mighty shield on the big screen this weekend. And while Cap's journey from the comics to the megaplex wasn't quite as arduous as the hero's transition from World War II to present day (which involved being frozen in a block of ice), there were plenty of twists and turns before Chris Evans put on the costume that will allow him to lead the Avengers.

MTV: Robert Pattinson Talks "Breaking Dawn" Sex Scenes

SAN DIEGO — What kind of preparation went into the steamy love scenes in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part I"? Well, if Robert Pattinson is to be believed, there was very little. "You just get lubed up and jump right into it!" he proclaimed to MTV News while backstage at San Diego Comic-Con shortly after making an appearance on a panel with his "Breaking Dawn" castmates and director Bill Condon. The group answered questions from Comic-Con attendees and treated them to footage from the upcoming flick, which is the second-to-last film adaptation in the epic saga. CLICK HERE to read the rest of my report.

MTV: Tom Hardy Can't Talk About Bane

Tom Hardy has plenty to say about his new mixed martial arts themed movie, "Warrior," as well as bodily injuries, the weather in Australia (where he's supposed to make a "Mad Max" movie someday), and all of the fun he's having at San Diego Comic-Con. But when MTV News pressed him about his role as the villainous Bane in "The Dark Knight Rises"... CLICK HERE to read the rest of my report.

There's no hiding the success of the "robots in disguise" franchise: "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" enjoyed the highest-grossing Fourth of July film debut ever over the weekend. Summer sequel mania was in full swing over the Independence Day holiday as the latest "Transformers" movie took in an estimated $97.5 million. "Transformers" beat the 2011 opening-weekend record previously set by "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," which just crossed the $1 billion mark worldwide.
