For years people wondered what Butthead meant when he called Beavis a "butt muncher." Then "The Human Centipede" came along to give popular culture a visual. Now, Eric Roberts has joined the list of actors who will be puckering up for next year's "The Human Centipede III (Final Sequence)."

Paul Giamatti spent part of the Memorial Day holiday weekend stalking New York's streets as The Rhino, the comic villain who makes his screen debut in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2."
Previously, we'd seen a bit of what Jaimie Foxx will look like as Electro as well as set pics of Giamatti in character as Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich. But these photos, from a scene director Marc Webb called "Park Ave Showdown" on Twitter, are a step closer to what the finished costume will be all about onscreen. The Yale University grad and Oscar nominated actor from "Sideways" and "American Splendor" will get his thug on as the notoriously dim-witted villain created by Stan Lee and John Romita, Sr.

Box-office reporters had their headlines cut out for them this weekend. Depending on which variation one came across, "Fast & Furious 6" lapped, raced, fueled, shifted, pulled ahead or (perhaps cleverest of all) went on a "box-office joy ride" over Memorial Day weekend.
However it was phrased, one thing was clear: "Fast & Furious 6" opened at #1 during the biggest Memorial Day Weekend in box-office history.

They say the third time's the charm, but a certain "6" is expected to speed past the competition into first place this weekend.

Jon Stewart is sharply hilarious and Gael Garcia Bernal honed his comedic chops against Will Ferrell, but the pair are teaming up for the first time to tackle a grimly serious subject.

Promoting a movie can be hard work. Movie stars find themselves sitting in the same hotel room all day, looking at the same movie posters and being asked the same questions by a bunch of people who have been flown in from all over the world to pester them.
"What was it like working with so-and-so?" "Tell me about your character." "Any funny stories from the set?" "Who is your celebrity crush?" Zzzzzz. In this case, literally.

Melissa McCarthy's onscreen characters may poop in sinks and buy rounds of drinks with a stolen credit card, but she ain't gonna stand back and watch somebody abuse a child in real life.
The star of 2013's first big hit, "Identity Thief," reportedly fired a woman from the set of her new film on Monday after watching her hoist a young child in the air by the wrist.

"Star Trek Into Darkness" scored an 87 percent positive critical average on Rotten Tomatoes, an audience CinemaScore of "A" and managed to beat every other film at the multiplex over the weekend.
The only thing the sequel to the 2009 franchise reboot didn't beat? Expectations.

Film critics may have wept over her performance in "House of Wax," but Paris Hilton's tears at the Cannes Film Festival came courtesy of Sofia Coppola. The 32 year-old heiress/model/reality TV star/singer/actress/Kim-Kardashian-before-Kim-Kardashian watched a screening of "The Bling Ring," Coppola's true-life tale about the teenaged burglars whose crime spree included a break-in at Hilton's house. She provided her real home as a location for the movie and cameos in it, as well. CLICK HERE to read the rest of my report.

"Iron Man 3" is about to get beamed out of the top spot. Marvel's follow-up to "The Avengers" will certainly live long and prosper with its nearly $1 billion box-office bounty, but this weekend is going to belong to Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock. CLICK HERE to read the rest of my report.
Could July 12th hurry up already? Ever since that footage at Comic-Con last year, we've been filled with the same kind of geeky giddiness for "Pacific Rim" that we can imagine Guillermo del Toro has been spreading all over edit bays while assembling what could very likely be an action masterpiece. It's safe to say blockbuster season is in full swing when a $50 million debut isn't enough to be #1 at the box-office."The Great Gatsby" beat industry expectations with a super strong $51.1 million opening over the weekend, which would have been enough for the top spot were it not for a certain Marvel Comics superhero. "Iron Man 3" held onto the #1 position for a second consecutive weekend with a $72.5 million domestic total, the fourth biggest second weekend in history after "The Avengers," "Avatar" and "The Dark Knight."

F. Scott Fitzgerald is about to get his butt kicked by Stan Lee."Iron Man 3" is expected to dominate the box office for a second consecutive weekend, fending off competition from "The Great Gatsby" as easily as the Avengers take down villains. The third solo go-round from the Marvel Comics character won't have any problem taking down the latest cinematic adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 literary classic, which features Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role.

Even without his teammates, Iron Man can still take down the bad guys, even breaking box-office records around the world at the same time."Iron Man 3" blasted into North America with one of the biggest opening weekends ever, second only to "Marvel's The Avengers," which opened over the same weekend last year. Robert Downey Jr.'s third solo outing as the armor-clad comic book superhero brought in $175.3 million at the domestic box office. Only the $207.4 million opening weekend for "The Avengers" — which, of course, also featured Downey as Iron Man — stands in front of "Iron Man 3" in the record books.

The death of Slayer's Jeff Hanneman was announced just hours before Revolver Magazine's 2013 Golden Gods Awards, so it certainly cast a somber pall over the proceedings. But just as with the tragic deaths of "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, Ronnie James Dio, Slipknot's Paul Gray and the Deftones’ Chi Cheng, the Slayer co-founder's passing served as a reminder of the spirit of community that has long dominated heavy metal as a subculture, a lifestyle and commercial genre. Performers, presenters and organizers chose to celebrate his life, lifting several glasses to the fallen "Big 4" guitarist throughout the night.Thursday night's event at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles had already been planned to be filled with collaborations, from Metallica's cover of the Judas Priest classic "Rapid Fire" with Rob Halford to Anthrax's pairing with half of Pantera. Revolver Marketing Director Josh Bernstein told Billboard that Metallica has topped their wishlist since Golden Gods -- the only metal awards show in the U.S. -- debuted in 2009. "What a night! Metallica!" exclaimed executive editor Brandon Geist.
