I love Wired But...

The same magazine who, just a few months ago, declared "No Heaven, No Hell, Just Science" in their cover story about "the New Atheism" now has a cover story about "What We Don't Know." And while in these articles experts still ridicule such "antiquated" ideas as the soul, life after death, and God (one blurb even refers to the human brain as "a piece of meat") it turns out scientists STILL don't know:

- What consciousness is
- Why we have it, how it develops, how it ends
- Why we age
- Why we die
- Why we need to sleep (and why we dream)
- What the universe is made of ("dark matter" = "we have no idea")
- What sparked the biggest leaps in evolution
- Why they can't create life in a laboratory (!!)

I think they need to have a Christian who loves science and gadgets as much as they do contribute a few articles. ;)

Science is about NOT knowing the answers, and searching for them.

Religion is about saying you already have all the answers.

I'd say that more relgious people should put "religion" in place of "science" in that first sentence and less scientific minded people should be putting "science" in place of "religion" in the second.
