MTV: 'The Vampire Diaries' Michael Trevino

Get out your tissues, fans. There's going to be plenty of waterworks with tonight's season finale of "The Vampire Diaries."

We already know that Elena will finally choose between Stefan and Damon Salvatore; executive Producer Julie Plec has promised us that much for a few weeks. But that won't be the only romantic moment liable to generate tears on couches nationwide, according to Mystic Falls remaining vampire-werewolf hybrid.

"I'll tell you what: There is a scene between Caroline and Tyler that's gonna get ya," Michael Trevino promised, speaking to Hollywood Crush by phone. "It might even top the one you saw last week. [There will be] a lot of waterworks happening. Before we did the scene, I was like, 'I want to make females cry.'"

MTV: 'The Vampire Diaries' Spoilers

Executive producer Julie Plec told Hollywood Crush and a select handful of television press that she knows exactly how "The Vampire Diaries" will end someday.

During the writing process for season two, she and series co-creator Kevin Williamson sat in a hotel lobby and plotted the entire endgame. “Kevin and I came up with our end plan, sitting in the mall lobby of the W Midtown in Atlanta on a Sunday early in season two," she recalled. "We were tired, and stressed, and talked about the last moment of the show, the last character moments of the show, and both started to cry in the middle of the mall. We just felt like that was right. And so, assuming that he and I are both around...assuming that he and I are lucky enough to survive into season 20...then yeah. We know how we want it to end."

It was a lively and expressive Q&A session on The CW lot in Burbank, California, on Wednesday, which saw Julie chatting with press alongside Steven (Jeremy), Michael Trevino (Tyler), Candice Accola (Caroline) and Zach Roerig (Matt).CLICK HERE to read the rest of my report.

MTV: 'Vampire Diaries' Interviews

The cast of "The Vampire Diaries" has endured a lot for their art: fast-paced stunts, fake blood, corsets, shower scenes, you name it. A crucial flashback episode coming later this season will require perhaps the most demanding training thus far: SCUBA lessons!

Having already shown us the 19th century, the '20s, "1912" and more, "The Vampire Diaries" will soon flashback to that fateful night when Elena (Nina Dobrev) lost her parents on the newly restored Wickery Bridge and was rescued by vampire Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley). We don't know who will be playing Grayson and Miranda Gilbert just yet. But we do know there'll be lots of underwater work.

MTV: 'Vampire Diaries' Star Candice Accola

To hear Candice Accola tell it, Klaus has saved Caroline Forbes from a life of wine coolers and cheerleading. Hollywood Crush caught up with "The Vampire Diaries" star and her cast mates at a PaleyFest screening of this week's episode, "1912," in L.A. While Klaus doesn't show-up in the flashback-driven episode (which focuses on the Salvatores' shared past), the recent steamy tension between everybody's favorite bad-boy Original vampire and the former Miss Mystic Falls has filled us fans with plenty of questions about where that may be headed.

MTV: Nina Dobrev

What's going to happen with "The Vampire Diaries" steamy love triangle? Will Elijah's interest in Elena Gilbert turn it into a romantic rectangle? And who knew Klaus could develop a soft spot for anyone, let alone Miss Mystic Falls herself, Caroline? These were our burning Q's for Nina Dobrev at the annual Oscars party thrown by Elton John and producer husband David Furnish where, looking just as ravishing on the red carpet as on that recent Entertainment Weekly cover series, our favorite Petrova Doppelgänger cheerfully dished to Hollywood Crush. MTV: "The Vampire Diaries" Plot Hints

Would "The Vampire Diaries" really kill off Tyler Lockwood? Jenna Sommers? Matt Donovan? Jeremy Gilbert? Heck, could they even get rid of Damon Salvatore? "The loss of life [will] be extreme over the last several episodes," executive producer Julie Plec told MTV News and a handful of press assembled for a private screening of tonight's episode, "The Last Day," at the CW offices on Wednesday.
