Customer "Service"

I have long been a vocal critic of most customer service. Sprint in particular. Oh man.

Probably the most frustrating part is trying to talk to an actual human being. Well, guess what? Did you know there is a website that tells you how to bypass the automated systems for just about every company you can name? YES, THERE IS -- check it out right HERE!

Now I know those systems are somewhat necessary. When I managed Missing Link Records in Indianapolis, the most common calls were people asking, "What time do you open? What time to you close? Where you located?" I can see why you'd want an automated system. But there are those of us who call a company when we need answers to something not covered in their website's "FAQ"s, right? And we deserve to get through a little faster. With that in mind, be nice to these people when you do get through! Not only have they been dealing with horrible people all day, but the nicer you are, the more they'll help you.

I'll never forget the DAY (or at least it seemed like an entire day) you spent on the phone with Sprint a few years ago. That was some of the most intense phone rage I've ever heard. This site is beautiful. You know I hate poor service, too. It's the Midwest in us!
